Door bell rings ding ding

I have a 2016 DS 4018 with 20,000 miles and am very satisfied with the coach as well as Newmar's outstanding service and support. Last weekend after not driving the coach for a few weeks experienced a strange thing. If I turn the ignition to the right either accessory position or turn the engine on the door bell rings!!! Any thoughts???

The majority of 12V problems are the result of a poor or missing ground. I suspect non-use has allowed corrosion to create a poor ground, which allows the doorbell to receive power from a backfeed.
The biggest problem will be locating the poor ground point. It may resolve itself with frequent use, as 12V burns it's way through the corrosion.
This is like shaking a flashlight to get the batteries to power the bulb, but we cannot shake a MH like a flashlight to disturb corrosion.

This is an absolute shot in the dark. Try disconnecting the batteries with the switch by the entry, give it a minute, then reconnect them. It's solved a few 12volt problems for me. One was the kitchen slide wanting to go out just fine, but not in. Crazy I know but it worked.
