I started having problems with the manual shade on the drivers side, with it not retracting more than half way. It’s held in place by 3 snap in clips. I took it down to take a better look at it, and one end slipped of my hand, and landed in the driver’s seat. The fabric now slides freely from one end of the metal cylinder to the other. He cylinder that the fabric attaches to is about 8 inches longer than the actual shade is wide. While the shade fabric s firmly attached to the cylinder, it slides ack and forth as the coach moves. I thought maybe something broke, and I would just replace it. I called Newmar, and they want $334 for a new shade. I must be missing something. There is a knurled knob at each end of the shade, but without any documentation, I don’t want to screw anything up. Hopefully, this is an easy fix.

After calling Newmar customer service, I was informed that it is an Automotion shade. I called Automotion and they informed me that it is a trapezoidal shade that she has no documentation that she can share, and they do not sell the internal parts. Wonderful. So if I can figure it out, I’m on the hook for $334 for a new one. That just doesn’t make sense.
