Drivers seat wobble on our '15 DSDP4369
My driver's Captains chair has developed a horrible wobble....to the point of scared it may flip over. Has anyone else had this problem and what is the fix? Seems to be coming from the swivel base portion and all nuts/bolts are tight. Thanks in advance. Steve

If you have a swivel base, look under the center of the seat bottom.
Should be a nut that can be tightened. Tight enough that there isn't too much wobble, loose enough that it still rotates.
Two minutes with a crescent wrench and you are good to go.

Tried that back in February and thought it had tightened a tiny bit but once seat was re-installed it was the same wobble. Thanks though! I had the same thought on that but should have known it wouldn’t be that easy. Not that removing the seat from base was easy.

Have you found any loose ball bearings around the seat? There is a lazy susan type ball bearing plate under the seat that lets it rotate. If it's lost any balls out of the track it can cause the seat to be very wobbly.

Thought of that as well. i Looked all around and underneath and saw nothing. I'm sure if there was one lying around my foot would have found it! Thanks for the idea though. Villa has agreed to send me a new base for $65+ shipping which sounds reasonable......provided shipping is not ridiculous

I have the same coach, same year, same seats. The large nut Brett is talking about I believe is 3/4". Mine have (or had) a cotter pin that went through the thread and a groove in the nut to keep it tight. My passenger seat has been golden but mine started a wobble early maybe year one. The cotter pin actually sheared off but of course lodged in the thread of the bolt. Since I am too lazy to drill it out & install another cotter pin I just tighten up the nut every couple years. Easy fix too bad that wasn't the issue with yours.

That would be a castle nut. The cotter pin must have been severely undersized to shear.
My Kountry Star seat started to wobble and I notice a number of the connections were fixed pins and bushings that were wearing or were undersized to begin with. Probably a production efficiency/cost decision.
I had intended to remove the seat and have a machine shop replace with interference fit components but sold the coach before tackling this job.

****UPDATE***** vILLA SHIPPED OUT A NEW BASE PLATE ON 10/14 FOR WHAT i THOUGHT WAS A REASONABLE PRICE. Received invoice today and shipping is $33. Kinda steep in my opinion. It was sent PONY EXPRESS aka USPS. No tracking # so I just wait. I'll post again once installed and let all know how many knuckles were busted in the process.

That is very reasonable shipping cost. Actually, cheap.
