Driver's side window replacement on 2015 Bay Star

So, someone broke the sliding driver's side window on my 2015 Bay Star. Anyone ever replace the window doing it yourself? Or is it better to leave to the professionals?

I just went through a similar thing due to "someone" leaving a window open .

Found a place called parkin-acc.com that was able to order a window from the original window manufacturer. But it was outrageously priced. Over $400 for a small 2x3 window with frame. It would have taken 3 weeks to make the window and another 7 to 10 days to ship.

Fortunately, I checked with my dealer and they found that the RV manufacturer had one in stock for $239. Even after UPS 2 day shipping (drop shipped directly to me) it was less than parkin-acc.com. I replaced the window myself in about 20 minutes. In my case the window and frame are one piece. I did have to remove the old window frame and get the part number from the sticker on the frame to place my order. Other than that it is just turning screws. Good luck.

Are you anywhere near Hudson FL? If so check out Suncoast Designers. They usually fix fogged dual pane windows but I believe they can replace broken ones just as easily. Price for our coach was $275 for the drivers side, it will cost something like $50 for each broken pane they need to replace.

A warning, though. When they replaced my window, they put a nice 2" gouge in my paint job. They made it right, but they did point out a clause in their contract that limited their liability. You may want to hang around and help them remove and replace the window, they had a single man do it and they are hear to handle.

You can also remove and ship them the window and they'll replace the pane, I don't think it costs any less but their website has a good estimating page. I removed and replaced the windows in our old coach, other than needing two people to get the big ones out it's not too hard.
