Driver's Windshield Wiper Not Working

Any secrets to this system that I should know before tackling the repair? The wiper is loose on the shaft, so I don't know if the motor is working or not. It does not move any on its own. I can grab it and move it fully back and forth. Will start looking at this today...

Hi RJOL,
This is a typical mechanical problem. Easy to find, tough to fix. Pop the hood and see what has come apart. If the retaining clip is broken that may be easy to find (any RV dealer will do). If the pin is broken that will be more difficult. A call to Newmar is recommended.

Thanks for the help... I took a look under the hood and the driver's arm was off the drive pin. Not only that, the pin shaft it was supposed to be on was bent about 30 degrees and had a twist in it. Haven't got a clue what kind of wiper motor and arm could put that kind of pressure on a pin and plate arm. The pin arm looks to be about 1/4 inch thick. I straightened the arm and took the twist out, then popped the wiper arm back on. It seems to be working now, but I will have to keep an eye on it.
