Driving Classes in North East

Hi,

We just picked up our new London Aire and drove home from Albany New York to MAryland. Worked out okay, but would love to take a driving class to become more confident. Are there any good classes in the Northe East? I took the Harley Davidson course and was looking for something like that for RVs.

Thanks

Friends of ours took a class B training, using the school bus the driving school had, training was tailored to motorhome driving.

Hop on a flight to Orlando or Tampa and go to the class they offer at Lazydays. Or, they actually had the course "on line" on their website so you can save the $$$$$$ and just try to find the video on your computer. If you can't find it on their website you might try calling them to find out how you can view the videos. It may not be the same as a full blown course but we took it ( in person ) when we ordered our RV even though we didn't buy it from them since they don't represent Newmar. I wouldn't say it was over the top but we picked up some great tips that we have been using now for the two years since we moved up from our Class C. The DW often refers to the key tips that she found particularly helpful.
Even if you end up taking a course in person you may find their info helpful in the meantime.
Best wishes with your new coach! We were at the factory when the new London Aires started coming off the line a few months ago. Beautiful!
Safe travels.

I wanted to provide an update. We took a two day private driving course with the RV Driving School. We did this in Harrisburg PA.

A really good experience. A former CDL instructor gave us a lot of tips and hints. My wife had never driven an RV and she now feels very comfortable. The driving was some interstate, but mostly back roads and town driving. We did everything from traffic circles to steep grades. Very knowledgable instructor and very good use of two days.

Thanks for the ideas.
