Dual sim wifi modem

I'm searching for a cell modem that will accept 2 sims plus capture park wifi, while having a fail-over feature that will switch sims for best signal. I think there are many out there and I'm sure some of you wise people know which is best. I had the pepwave in the past and it worked well, I'm just thinking there are probably improvements in the last 5 years.

Thanks in advance for your help

Bill

The Pepwave MAX Transit series is still where it's at for all those features. Just avoid the CAT20 version (5G) as the firmware is very new and buggy. If you set the failover tiering correctly, you can fall back from park wifi to cellular, then cellular to cellular as needed.

I went with the Husky Parsec over the Poynting for better cellular dependency. The Poynting will fare better when connecting to park wifi.

Thanks so much for that response. Due to my good experience with the pepwave product, that sounds like exactly what I wanted, and available at the 5G store where I purchased my other one. Thanks again.

My Peplink UBR LTE will do all of that and more, plus it has 2 SIM slots per modem in case you need to double your monthly bandwidth. I purchased mine from simetry.com and got $50 off.

We went with the Pepwave Max 5G Cat 20 and have had no issues. I understand that new product might be buggy but I bought this for the long term and shortly 5G will be the standard in various forms.

I also bought the Parsec antenna.

This combo has been a game changer in our data, very happy with it.

Here is where we bought ours;

I'm also using the Max Transit. It has dual radio, dual sims per radio (definitely get one with two radios, not one radio and two sim slots), and then you can setup wifi wan.

So, for instance, when I was up at Nappanee last week, I had their guest Wifi setup on the Wifi Wan, along with my Verizon and AT&T sim cards in the dual cell modems in the transit.

There are then multiple different ways you can have them used. Such as use Wifi unless it fails or drops below a certain performance, or you can set them all up as primary and have it periodically do pings and choose the fastest, or there is a mode where it will send data down all three, and use whichever response arrives fastest (this essentially will put data usage on both sims all the time, so only good for true unlimited sims).

I've become a huge fan of peplink at this point. I also have one of my old Max Mini BR1s as a backup internet at the house, and am considering replacing my home business grade sonic wall router with a Peplink with built in sim backup, rather than the failover to stand along peplink.
