Duel Valve Stem Extension and Portable Air Pumps

Folks,

We have a 2019 Mountain Aire and trying to install an EEZ TPMS but running into several challenges.

1. Valve stem on Inner Duel's comes out straight and need to add an extension to raise the stem enough to allow screw on of the TPMS. Any recommendation on the best extension (i.e. 30 to 45 degree) that can be tightened and not subject to slow leaks?

2. Location of the booster repeater. Looked at back closet but can only ID 12 volts to the closet door switch or the black distribution box that once the cover is removed looks like a "rats next" of wires and not certain which one or pairs that might provide the 12 volts without causing a problem. Did consider the mid bath room but again where to mount and where to get the 12 volts.

Finally, what is the best probable air pump for this coach's tires???? My tires pressure (based on axle and weights) run font (115 psi), duel (90 psi), and tag (115 psi). Looking for an air pump with the duty cycle and capability to supply up to 120-150 psi rating and a duty cycle that will not poop out at 20 minutes.

1. I have the EEZ TPMS and they fit on the inner dual extension without modification. It is close to the rim but I don't think an angled 2nd extension would work.


2. I have my booster connected to a 120/12v transformer from an old computer. I have this plugged in to an outlet near the bedroom TV that is alive with the inverter on.


3. I carry a Porter Cable 6 gal pancake compressor that produces 150psi.


P.S. Your tag tires should be the same pressure as the duals. Mine are all at 80psi.

Could you wire and mount the booster in the chassis battery compartment?

Oh my gosh, are your tires having a fight.... a duel. My dual rear wheel get along fine and I use a Viair 12 volt portable compressor that is rated to 150 psig. Take up a lot less room than the 120 volt pancake unit.

On mine, the sensors fit fine, our wheels should all be similar. The inner dual extension comes through the black rubber support and should have just enough length to add the sensor. The outer dual should just be remove the cap and install the sensor. On my 2014 DS, the valve extenders on the inner duals didn't work well with the sensors. I called TST and they recommended a brand that did. It's been years, so I don't recall the brand. On my 2019 DS, the extensions worked fine.

I mounted my TPMS extender in the engine battery bay at the rear of the coach. I screwed it to the wall, added a fuse and connected it to a 12 volt hot lead in the bay.

This Porter Cable compressor is used by many RVer's. It runs on 110 volts and will fill to 150 psi. It takes about 13 seconds to add a pound of air to an inflated tire.

1. Make your life easier and get Borg dually one piece valve stems and say goodbye to stem and inflation problems.

2. Do you have a 12 volt light in one of your wardrobes or above a counter? That seems like it would be a good place to tap into the wiring.
