Dutch Star 4018, 2019

Hi
I just purchased it and I noticed it rocks up and down every time I drive it +65 mph and hit a small hump on the road as if the tag axel is not doing it's job, my previous mh was an Itasca Meridian 42E , 2013 and it did not do that at all. any suggestions?

Welcome to the Newmar family.

I first thing I would suggest is verifying all tires are properly inflated for your current weight. You've already had a big coach so I won't bore you with how to set tire pressure unless you think you need a refresher.

Beyond that, the next step would be to check ride height. At least those 2 items are fairly easy to do.

If those are set properly then you might need to get smarter people than me to chime in.

If your coach is on a Spartan Chassis there was an issue with porposing. The fix was a new design front shocks.

Is the Spartan model year the same as the Newmar model year?

On my 2018 it is the same, both are 18. Newmar doesn’t stock pile chassis like some of the other brands. Could a couple slip through on the first couple of a new year build? Good question

This is from one of my previous posts;
Here you go; the new ones are, 0562-SS5-001 SHOCK - 46MM IFS 20K
The old part number is 0556-SS5-001 and are also 46MM

The number is printed on the shock, carful, if you clean them to read the number solvent washes the printing off [emoji51]

Thanks for the information.
I took my mh to a cummings service center and they are replacing the shock absorbers. They also found a drivers side air bag valve broken. They will check the hight and tag axel air pressure. Hopefully this will take care of the issue. Will keep you posted.
