Dutch Star refrigerator failure

I have read many times that the life of a residential refrig. in an RV is less than in a home. Ours has just failed and have gotten from Whirpool the phone # for their "trade care team" to handle the repair. However they will not be responsible for the placement of the refrigerator in the proper position to effect the repair. That is the owners responsibility.
How difficult is it to move the refrigerator out so that it can be repaired?
We were thinking about trading it in on a new model. This maybe the time to do so!!

The RV refers have hold downs to secure them, home units do not and can be easily slid out. I can see them not wanting to mess with trim or other parts that they would eventually be responsible for.

Geoff:
Its not hard. I had to do it when I replaced my drain line.
See the attached pdf. Be sure to use plywood to protect your tile when you slide it out.
Good luck.

2018 DS - Whirlpool Refrigerator failed Aug 2020. Needed a new evaporator, which no one had in stock. Three months later, we just brought the same model from a floor display. Took the evaporator from it, finally got the one on the RV back working in Dec. 2020.

6 months and 600 miles down the road - refrigerator is dead again.

Thinking of replacing with something that is built to take the pounding of RV travel.

Recommendations?

When our Maytag fridge died it was the control board about $250.00 on Amazon very easy to pull fridge out and replace Then sent the old board out for repair and now carry a spare with us
