Dutch Star Tilt Wheel In Op

Well a little over 4000 miles on my new used rig. At the end of a 100 mile leg stretching exercise yesterday the tilt wheel mechanism failed. Did some troubleshooting and found the problem. Busted cable. The reason it busted is a really bad QA from uncle Newmar. The installation of the foot switch and the cable assembly was so close to the floor that the cable made a 90Deg bend right at the attachment point. I'll have to raise the whole foot pedal a few inches to provide some sweep for the cable. This must have been a Friday afternoon build or maybe Monday morning.

I don't have access to the information anymore but that cable ought to be a service part. Check with Newmar or the chassis maker.
