Which chassis?

According to current specs Freightliner has the lower trailer rating, but Spartan doesn’t.

What’s the AC issue?

I prefer the 37ft coach but I will be towing an enclosed trailer loaded to about 10k lbs
We love our 40 Spartan chassis with the 450 engine. Love the tag and chose it over 37 for those two reasons. 43 was too long for too many places we’d like to camp. What’s the AC issue? We have a DS4054

We’re with you on the single bath. I don’t want one more bathroom to clean and to us it’s a waste of space. That’s why we chose the 4054 and ended up building. We couldn’t find a used one. Are you looking used? Each size usually has one option w the single bath but maybe not the new 43’s..😏

I'll probably catch hell from you guys but I would bet the 37 would tow my 10k pound trailer just fine

Hi, so what A/C issue are you referring to? We have 2022 40’ DS.

Thanks!

I've read that 2 AC units can't keep up with extreme summer heat

And now you’ve read from several above that the opposite is true. Used properly there is no problem.

I live in Florida. If you have extreme heat and two AC's most likely you'll be closing ALL Day and Night Shades and cranking up to full blast to barely maintain high 70's. And that's with a front Sunscreen mounted on your windshield.

I had a 2002 DSDP for 13 years before I traded up to my current 2015 DSDP 4018. And if someone says that they can maintain low 70's in the Florida Sun at over 100 degrees without shutting out the world by closing ALL shades with just two AC units...

Yes Don, I too would be very interested in what you changed to gain more air flow.
