Dutchstar 4 years storage, problems?

Hello folks,

I'm looking at a 01 Dutch Star that has been stored for 4 years. What sort of problems should I expect?

I depends if it was stored inside or outside. Look at tires, rubber hoses, belts, alternator, generator, fluids, batteries, etc. Was the coach winterized?

Hi Missouri Mik,
There is too much to mention. RJay mentioned all rubber components. The batteries are shot, guaranteed. Consider focusing on the floor plan. Does the floor plan fit your needs for:
1. travel
2. eating
3. sleeping

Put the coach in all these setups (slide(s)) furniture, beds and see if it fits. Look for water stains in the ceiling (inside the cupboards too). Smells and odors need to be questioned. If still interested, have the coach and chassis checked out by their respective certified techs.

Thanks for the replys

Thank you gentlemen for the replies. I did find some problems with rotted rubber in the suspension parts. The batteries, however, were new 5 year ago and appear to be alright. I plan to do a closer inspection soon. Thanks again.

Mike
