Dutchstar Heated Floors

I love my heated floors in the 2019 Dutch star. This is a item that we are using a lot this summer as we have cold mornings (40-45F) and daytime highs of only 79 now.

My question is coverage. I have found that the only portion that never gets warm at all is the kitchen table floor. This is on the full wall slide.

In the bedrom, which is on the same wall slide, that zone does extend into the floor space on the fws.

Does anyone know for certain if the FWS is supposed to have heated floor under the table?

I don't think the heat pads go into the front half of the FWS.

No, my table area on the FWS does not heat. Not sure why they don’t extend a heating pad into that area as that’s where you sit with bare feet.

Exactly---that is where I am now with one foot on heat and one foot on cold. Having to rotate sides every so often to thaw out the one foot
I was hoping mine was broken

My guess would be that due to the various dinette plans, like booths, heating that area would be problematic. It's probably easier to make that not heated and not have to worry about which dinette it gets. We have the table and chairs with a lot of open floor, where as the booth would be sitting over the area that is open on mine. The booth installers would have no way of knowing if they're driving a screw through the heating element.

Just my guess!

That does make sense.

Ronnie, you don’t have a problem. Mine is the same way and, in fact, I was able to get the layout schematics from the Black Box, which confirmed there IS NO heat-mat under the dinette. There is a layout for each zone in separate envelopes, so I labeled them and put them all together.

Now, and the positive note, I’ve trained our Golden to go under there since he LOVES a cold floor!! He even warms it up a bit for us...a Win-Win! ;-)

My golden is happy with the news. The bed normally lives under the table. Last night I took the bed up to use the heater.

Now the bed can remain...much warmer on my feet anyway!

In your Newmar "box" are five drawings showing the heated floor coverage. 5 because there are 5 separate pads. 1 in the rear bath. 2 in the bedroom (one is in the slide) and 2 in the living/Kitchen room because it is too large for just one. No there is no coverage for the FWS in the living/Kit Rm. I had Newmar build a custom desk for me in front of the Dinette area. My feet get cold. Wish I had known about the coverage as I would have tried to get a 3rd pad on the front control to cover the FWS tile.

In 18 they added the dresser area, prior to that the FWS had no heat. I believe that don is correct about the different configurations.

I received this schematic from Newmar that shows the heated floor. The booth is not heated by design.4369 floor heat .pdf

Good to have, but a lot more vague/confusing than the individual layouts that are in your Black Box if you have them.
