E-Pass Xtra & EZ Pass Mounting

Just got an E-Pass Xtra for the coach! Cannot find any information on the website for mounting.
Does anyone else have one?
If so, where did you mount it?
Have you had any trouble with it being "read" when going through toll booths!
Thanks for your input!

Mine (EZ Pass & Palmetto Pass) mount high up center of windshield behind the shade and out of sight. No problem from Maine to Ohio to VA. BTW, only have one transponder mounted at a time if like us you need more than one.

I also put mine high and center behind the shade but below the tint strip on the top of the windshield. Several states say to mount the EZ Pass below the tinted strip in case the manufacturer used a metallic tint. I don't know if it matters with our windshield.

On my old class C, I had to put it low and center because of overhang. It worked fine there also.

I bought a suction cup mount. Works great.

I have mine low on the windshield, centered, wiper level. Easy to remove. If I want to switch from EZ pass to Sun pass to Palmetto Pass. I guess I could line them all up high on the windshield. But when I found out that They don’t work on Jeep Wangler when they are high on the windshield I put them low by the dash.

And one more important thing: Your toad.

If you have an EZ-Pass or some other transponder in your toad, remove it and place it in the original foil envelope, metal box, or wrap it in tin foil whenever you are towing. This is necessary because the readers will see and charge both the one in the RV and the one in the toad. Your RV one get's processed differently and will include any additional towed items appropriately.

And how do I know thi$? Gue$$. It wa$ a real ha$$le to work with a cu$tomer $ervice rep and cro$$ walk each and every tran$action after a long trip where the gal had to pull photo record$ to verify that the car'$ charge$ were wrong. $he didn't have ace$$ to photo$ from other $tate$ and I had to repeat the whole exerci$e with four different juri$diction$.

My automatic replenishment for the EZ-Pass hit my credit card real hard that month!

Doesn't that apply to NY issued tags?

Yes. NY EZPass only, not EPass Xtra from other states.

Ted.

Yes, but it cost $100 and $15 a month service charge for any month used.

So for me? No.

You can eliminate multiple accounts and transponders with an E-Pass-Xtra from the Central Florida Expressway Authority

Originally I just broke down and purchased a SunPass in addition to my EZ-Pass from Virginia. When traveling the Florida Turnpike/429 to Disney this will work the entire route. But, if you have an EZ-Pass you must put it in the RF cellophane bag to keep from getting “double billed” when you travel on Central Florida Turnpike Authority roads as they accept EZ-Pass. Their toll plazas will read both tags and bill both.

Now, I had a Sunpass, but have changed. The Central Florida Expressway Authority has now come out with an E-Pass Xtra. The Xtra is EZ-Pass. So, this one pass will cover all tolls in Florida, the few tolls in Georgia, the few tolls in North Carolina and the 18 EZ-Pass states.

I cancelled my SunPass account and my EZ-Pass account and now just use my E-Pass Xtra. This will work on all Florida roads, Georgia, North Carolina and the 18 EZ-Pass States.

The Central Florida Expressway Authority does not charge monthly fees of fees for not using the pass for any period of time.

Sadly, it doesn't replace the Palmetto Pass.
