E-Plex Screen
2008 Essex 4508
The multi-plex screen in the bedroom is inoperative
I have been told by Newmar the the screen is obsolete and there is no replacement part.
Any information concerning this would be appreciated.

When I was troubleshooting our 07 Essex E-Plex system, the culprit was the fresh water module. When I contacted Newmar, they said the part was obsolete and the new one was a couple of grand. I contacted Nauti-Tech (Phone 888.156214) or e-mail (e-plex@nauti-tech.com) POC: Slav P and purchased an upgraded version of the one on the coach but one version behind what newmar was selling. The part was in stock and 1/4th the price. Might be worth your time to shoot Slav an email for availability. Not sure about the 08 Essex, but that screen on our coach is: 435 - 345LCDL (5.7 LCD display )-(optional ).

Essex e-plex
I communicated With Slav Popov at Nauti-Tech and he indicated the part is obsolete and no longer made.
Nauti-tech may have a replacement solution which would require rewiring and replacing the system with a new computer $$$$
Cant believe Newmar has left us out to hang like this.

Unfortunately, that's the way it's going and it'll become worst with all the technology used in the new coaches. Too many computers that will become obsolete in a short while.
It's the same with cars.
So we all want the new gadgets but it'll hard to keep them working when companies are leaving the market or go bankrupt.
I think older motorhome will gain in value...
I faced the same thing with my Dynasty but I was able to work around [emoji3][emoji3][emoji3]

That's one of the problems with controllers / automation applications that are proprietary and don't follow standards like RV-C communications protocol. Or, they modify the standard to make it proprietary...
It's a much bigger conversation than just that, but this is core to a prime issue.

Here is a link to a large RV salvage. I looked thru the inventory, there was an 03 and 04 Essex and other Newmar products. Appears they are marketing body parts, but wouldn’t hurt to give them a buzz and see if they have your LCD bedroom display... https://colawrvsalvage.com

When my panel in the bedroom gives up the ghost, I'm just going to take it out and replace it with a mirror. Should be about $4 worth of parts.

E-Plex will only be on 2006-2011 Essex and King Aires.
My bedroom e-plex screen died a while back. We shopped the art galleries when we visited Taos and found a small print. DW framed it to a 9.5 x 10.5 size. Looks nice!

One of the best solutions for screen replacement I have seen.

One better: A touchscreen that works and becomes an art gallery when it's not actively being used as a touchscreen
