Electric Brake

I have been towing 4-down since I bought the coach. No I want to use an enclosed car trailer. The trailer has electric brakes with a 6 pin connector and the coach has a 7 pin.
I can get an adapter, but does our coach stock wiring provide power for the electric brakes on the trailer. Will I have to get a brake controller? I am in the dark on this.

Thanks.

It's quite possible that your coach is pre-wired for the electric brake controller. Yes, you will need to purchase one and I would recommend the Tekonsha Prodigy unit.

To use the brake controller and if your coach is pre-wired for it, you will need to locate the harness under your dash or around the driver's console and wire the brake controller to it correctly.

If your coach is NOT wired then you have some wire chasing to do like I had to for my coach.

I would also recommend switching the 6-way connector on the trailer to a standard 7-way.

We have had great luck with our portable garage, the Jeep stays clean and safe. My factory wires were tied in a loom at the base of the steering colum (07 Spartan) from there it was plug and play. Be mindful of ride hight if you use a weight distributing hitch.
