Electric outlets

We have a 2001 Dutch Star. While plugged into 110 outlet while loading RV for trip, wife plugs in vacuum to outlet directly in front of passanger seat on lower dash. Vacuum goes off and now no power to that outlet or the outlet supplying the TV. TV works when plugged in to different outlet but no power to regular outlet the TV is plugged into. HELP!

Turn the power off, check that outlet, something probably came loose. The other outlet died because it is downstream most likely.

Welcome JKop to the forum & irv2.
You have tripped a GFI outlet on your 600 watt inverter in a basement compartment.
Similar problem
The heavy current draw did it use a regular outlet in your kitchen area.
Enjoy the forums.

I would suspect that you popped the breaker on the inverter/charger.

The GFIC may have tripped but it was not from current draw.

x2. Had the exact problem, even with a vacuum. Mine was in the small electrical compartment behind the rear wheels on the passenger side. It is just a small switch.

If the inverter is 600 watts, as someone said, the vacuum tripped the circuit breaker, not the GFCI (may be a combo device) ...

Solution: Reset breaker and if wife ever pluggs vacuum into that outlet again, reset wife.

"007" has your answer, the 110 outlets at the passengers feet and the TV are on the invertor. Location is compartment behind the rr wheels, the cord pluged into the invertor supplies the two outlets in the front of coach. This cord can be removed from the invertor and pluged into the 110 outlet at the rear of the compartment any time you are on shore power to save using the invertor, and save convertor power by not having to charge the batteries as much.

Electric outlets

Thanks to all responses. It was the reset switch on the inverter. We've only had this Dutch Star for about three months. This is all new to me so I'll probably be asking a lot of questions. Thanks again to all.

Hey it could be worse...... Was in a campground last year, Couple parked a brand new 5er in the site in front of me... Plugged in, Wife went to vacuum (Built in so no wrong outlet issue) and nothing.. In fact no 120 volt anywehre.

Back to my "house" grab the test equipment and a few tools.

Good power at the park outlet

Unplug the marinco outlet from the matching inlet on trailer

Dang thing fell off in my hand.

Like many RVers he had a few screws loose.. Like the six screws inside that outlet housing,,, all six of them.

Other popular locations are the circuit breaker box, transfer switch (if you have one) and anywhere a wire is attached under a screw.

(And you thought I meant a different kind of loose screw didn't you)

So how do you like this coach so far? I am looking at a 2001 Dutch Star to purchase.

I'm having the same problem. I don't have a plug in the inverter compartment. The C/B was not popped. I've interchanged 2 of the gfci and get the same result. I've unplugged shore power. I've gone on inverter alone and still the same result. Half of the plugs in the coach are not working. Any more suggestions would be appreciated

Do all of your appliances have power? I had outlets in the kitchen and living area that lost power and it turned out that a c/b had tripped on my 120V AC panel.

Welcome to the forum & irv2 OttoPylot.
Do you have power with Gen running at all outlets?
You have reset all load center circuit breakers?
If not may have a problem with loose wiring in load center, transfer switch, the stranded wires can become loose and open your power leads to load center.
Good time to check the 12v power leads to fuse panels and ground cables to chassis frame.
