Electrical Cord Bay Grommet
Someone accidently reeled in elecrical cord and messed up grommet. He was trying to help.
Anyway could not find it on Comnet and have been unsucessful logging into Newgle. I called Newmar parts last week and told them I needed the part described above.
They sent out part #21289 Seal PSO/Bag DR Bulb. The part they sent looks nothing like what is on MH.
Has anyone had to change out this grommet/seal and happen to know the part number?
I have attached a picture I just took of what I am looking for.
Thanks for your time!
David

The grommet in the picture, at least on our Canyon Star, was made of the bulb seal they use for the compartment doors. It was cut and formed around some metal flanges to make the grommet.
I suspect yours is similar, you should be able to pull the individual pieces off and replace them with cut pieces of the bulb seal Newmar sent you. They are probably glued in place and may even have some screws on the ends, that's what they did with mine under warranty when the ends came undone repeatedly.

I have some. Straight piece of rubber bulb seal with an embedded piece of steel. Pull the old one out and bend a piece of the new one in. Tough but doable. Good shears or a cutoff saw to cutoff the excess due to the embedded steel.

Lakebuster, the Newmar part number for the bulb seal you are looking for is PN 124011. It costs $2.45 per ft.
I had the same problem and submitted the post below a few days ago.

On my coach, the cable entry seals were not held on with screws, just adhesive. I did not ask Newmar what type of adhesive they use when I ordered the seal.
When I replaced the seals on my power bay cable entry point last week, I had to prep the surface and spent a few minutes scraping and cleaning off the old seal and the adhesive. It came off in pieces. Just because it's what I had on hand, I put the new seals on using Liquid Nails and then clamped it overnight using two boards (top and bottom) secured with a C clamp. Worked out great.

I tore mine up, called Newmar Parts and they sent me the replacement which just so happens to come in straight lengths to which you have to bend and shape it into the profile in the basement frame. They sell it by the foot so I got 2 ft of it as to have some spare.
