Electrical problem
Hello friends
Yesterday my wife use the washer/dryer and all working good. Today she want to use again but the washer/dryer don't start. I check the electrical plug no electricity. I check the breaker and his ok he's not trip. I remove the front panel of the electric box and i check with my tester all the breakers. I have a surprise the main breaker is double 50 amp, you have one black wire and one red, the red one have no electricity, the black one 123 volt, all these on shore power. If i start the generator i have 123 volt on the red and black and the washer/dryer start. After i go to check the transfer switch i have 3 wires go in the box the big one is the generator, the medium one is shore power, and the small one i think this one is go directly to electrical box in the motorhome. i check all power in the transfer switch and all is ok.
Please help me i don't no i have to do now.

Can you plug into another 50amp service or are you saying that you need help repairing the 50 amp service?
It sounds like you found the problem already?

Check the power at pedestal......
You have lost one hot leg of the 50A power supply
On the receptacle the side slots are HOT ....one leg on each side
Bottom slot is neutral
Top 1/2 round slot is ground
If both slots are hot then your power cord has lost a hot leg

I don't found the problem, the pedestal is ok, the shore line is ok, the transfert switch is ok too. The problem is between the transfert switch and the main panel in the motorhome. I don't no if i have to check another thing but now i don't no i have to do except call a specialist.
Thank's for your help

IF generator provides both hot legs and shore power only one hot leg in your main AC panel then issue is in transfer switch.....shore power contacts/relays on one of the hot legs
Need to check terminals/wires on shore power leads and test that both shore power legs are hot coming in.......if hot coming in and only one hot going out to load center then relay/contact on that one leg is bad
Typical 50A transfer wiring

Check around the coach, there may be a GFI plug that popped. If so, buy another as they get "soft" after popping and will do it again and again.
