Emergency door in bathroom

I just noticed on the brochure for the 2018 Dutch Star the emergency exit in the master bathroom has a ladder. Is that something that could be put on the 2017 and has anyone done it or anything like it ?

Not positive but somewhere I think I read the coach frame was changed to accommodate that door/ladder. Could be wrong though.

I was just at the factory for warranty work on my 2017 Dutch Star and asked that same question. The entire door system needs to be replaced because the ladder weighs more. They told me that the cost, including paint, is about $6,000. I passed.
