Ok, I had my emergency window out to allow a washing machine to be passed through ; and nearly lost the unit as it fell out of the top hinge .
Does your much newer unit hinge at the top ?
If the window is completely out of the RV , can you post a picture of the hinge/mount ?

Take your two hands and curl your fingers like you're holding onto a bar. Now take one hand and grab the other, hooking your fingers to each other. That's how the hinge typically works. Two half curves that interlock. You have to hold the window, hinge down, against the coach and slip it into the curve at the top of the window frame, then lower it down.

It's always a pain when you know how something SHOULD go back together and it fights you.

Emergency window

I had a similar problem with my emergency window. The problem was that Newmar applied a lot of caulk along the top of that "hinge" and it was preventing the two pieces from seating properly. Remover all that excess caulk and it should re-attach. Re-caulk after window is back in place.

And I think the two pieces go back together when you hold them at a 90 degree or greater angle.
