My 2021 4081 DSDP has a radiant floor heat element under the engine access hatch tile in the bathroom. When removing the access hatch, how do I disconnect the heating element so I can set it aside?

No heating element on the hatch. I've lifted it up and there's nothing to disconnect.
Maybe they added it to your model...

The hot tile isn't just on the engine cover but almost all the tile around the area because it is coming from your engine heat. We added extra insulation all around engine area plus a fan to draw the heat out of the engine compartment which stays hot for 3 or more plus hours. This has made a big change especially in the summer in the bathroom on our LA. Newmar Man

There must be some sort of connector that you would unplug.

There should be no floor heat in the engine access cover area. Why are you needing to remove that? Just wondering? Who told you there was a matt in that location? Is it always hot? If so, you need additional insulation added.

What year did they start to add floor heat to engine hatch. We have it.

If you are saying you have it, there should be a connector. Have you pulled up the cover to see? I haven't seen it in our coaches.

I thought I read somewhere that they started heating the hatch, I believe it was 2022. It makes sense as on many models, that's where you stand when at the sink. I doubt that they would install floor heat and not make a connection you could disconnect.

On ours, we found a nice carpet that is the exact size of the hatch frame, so you don't see it and have something warm to stand on.

In 2021 MY they added floor heat to the engine hatch and the bedroom full wall slide.

I have floor heat in the engine hatch cover. The connector is behind the false cabinet panel below the closet doors.

Your Right some of the Newer Models do have Heat on Hatch cover . Thats what I was thinking too Right behind that Cover !

My 21 DS does have heated floor on the engine hatch and I have removed it. Just remove the screws under the plugs and lift carefully and rotate to side and lean against the cabinet. I don't recall a plug but there is no need to un plug it anyway-just be mindful not to damage the wires going to it when removing it and putting it back in place.
