Entry handle fix

Good morning, I know this is a common occurrence or at least used to be. Is easiest fix to loosen screws at bottom of handle & pop back in and then tighten back up? Sorry for sideways picture.

Thanks!

Did you loosen the bottom as you suggested? I would also loosen the top as well. Then reseat both securely.
Or, is there a larger issue?

I tried loosening screws on top & bottom but could not get handle to budge and reset itself...maybe I need to completely unscrew the bottom part to get angles to match and clear part to slide back in? I just was afraid to take the screws all the way out and then them not hold as well once screwing back in??
