Entry lights stopped working???

Help - both ceiling lights that come on when the entry door is opened just stopped working. Any ideas why?

My vintage Newmar has a wall switch ( only ) for the ceiling lights ( nothing on the actual door ). So perhaps your coach has an over ride switch next to the porch light , and step override , that's stopping their function .

Or has someone turned them off at the fixture?

If you have lights that turn on when the door opens, you must have a switch or magnet somewhere around the door that senses that. Look for that.

There are two magnets in the entrance door frame. One works the steps and the second is for the cockpit lights. I would check the wire connections for this magnetic switch.

There is a KIB controller that turns those lights on/off and controls the timer. It's a black box about half as thick as a stick of butter. Finding it is the issue. They use to put it under the dash, near the removable panel. It's one of my next projects. I'm going to add a switch to it, so I can open the door (when needed) without lighting everything up. I had a switch on my last coach.

Thanks for the ideas. Still haven't got them to work. Will start list for next trip to North Trail
