Essex service
Checking with Essex owners what perks do you get for being an Essex owner. Do you get priority service. I know you have your own after hours service connection.

This is interesting........I have never read or heard of this service?

Essex is highline service and they get some perks like their own service area, and they have access to their coach during service.
They had their own waiting room, but it was inferior to the main lounge. It's now the dog waiting room.

If your talking about Newmar service I believe its all done in the highline service building as your PDI service was done at the factory if you had it done there all top Tech's.

I don't know if the KGDB owners get an even higher level of service.
The LADB owners had a technician assigned to them and they also were given a cell phone with pre-programed numbers of all the appropriate managers and Newmar brass.

Here's a partial list of the "Services" that the King Aire owners get
Free travel to and from the factory on the company's Gulfstream G650 jet
Free use of the Newmar Chateau in the South of France
A loaner Prevost for each time your coach is in the shop
Free massage and pedicure services while you're at the factory
Priority seating at Amish Acres and the Greek Joint
Complimentary dog therapy sessions
A free financial seminar entitled " How to get rich buying King Aires"
Now the real story,
We got a couple of really nice King Aire leather jackets with each purchase
There is a 24 hour number, but we've never used it
No special pre-programmed phone
When we've been at the factory for service , we have visited with owners of all of the Newmar models and age ranges. Sounds to us like the level of service is really close to the same for all. Congrats Newmar!!

Norfus got it right but he may have forgotten one minor benefit. If you notice there isn't a ladder on the Essex and Kingaire. That is because there are servants quarters up there, they will clear branches, fix leaks, General roof maintenance, etc.

Great observation , I've been wondering why there wasn't a ladder.

Owning/servicing an Essex is, like most motorhomes, a double-edged sword. When I have an issue I haven't faced before I call Newmar service, and I ask what the best way to handle the problem. Newmar will speak me (or the Tech I put on the phone) through it. That is the upside. The downside is; it is sometimes difficult to find a Tech who can successfully work on the Essex. Many have tried, but few have succeeded, and when you're on the road, and need something done, the successes are few and far between. Sometimes it's necessary to limp to a service center where a known Tech can help.

Gee, I haven't been able to get past the customer care guys, who are extremely nice. But... They are NOT techs!

I'll give you an example; my bedroom TV was not working properly. I was asked a few things, and it was apparent the TV was going to have to be removed, and the wiring checked. I called a mobile Tech, and called back. We were connected to a Tech Advisor, who talked Ricky thru the process. It was found that the "harness" was not there. Newmar overnighted the harness to the Tech, and he turned to me with it, installed it, and was paid directly by Newmar (this was in the 2nd year of the warrantee, and I was in a Tennessee RV park), and this mobile Tech had never worked on a Newmar previously.

We just left Friday after four days of service at Newmar. Having a Mountain Aire, Essex, or King Aire will get you into another building for service. The down side of that is you have to drive it over every morning yourself. The up side is...wait there is no up side. This was our first time at Newmar, and I was impressed that they assigned 2 people to work on the coach from start to finish and another (Nevin Miller, no relation) as our go to guy. They were very friendly and explained and showed us everything they did.
