Exhaust brake & Air Force One

We have recently installed the Air Force One on our 2015 Dutch Star. On travels to Florida thru Tennessee we occasionally use the exhaust brake on steep declines. Am I correct that the Air Force One will not function if only the engine brake is employed ?

Geoff, Providing yours is the Air Force One, not the " Play N Stay Duo" model, you are correct. The Air Force One only activates your towed vehicle's brakes when you employ your coaches service brakes. (Air Force One has an air line that attaches between the coach and tow.)

Your engine has an engine brake and not an exhaust brake but regardless, as Lug Nut says, your toad brake is operated by air from your coach service brakes so engine braking has no effect. If you had a toad brake system operated from the brake light signal then the brakes would be applied.
