Exhaust Extensions Replacements

The Oasis & diesel exhaust extensions on our 2015 DS are severely rusted and pitted. We spend much of the year exposed to salt water climate. Have attempted to polish them each year to no avail. Have others owners had the same problem and found replacements? Gibson makes a series of extensions but don't know if they are suitable?

My previous coach was a 2010 Winnebago Tour. In Winnebago's infinite wisdom, they ran the AquaHot exhaust pipe from the drivers side, under the coach to the passenger side where the exhaust fumes collected in your patio. I relocated the exhaust to the drivers side and just went to Pep Boys and bought a chrome extension. That was in 2010 and it was there when I traded it for a 2016 Dutch Star. I think the exhaust tip was under $10.00 and had set screws to hold it onto the exhaust pipe.

Geoff.....I dislike the looks of the exhaust tips they use on the Dutch Stars. I'm not a fan of the slash cut, turn down models. I always replace mine with a different style. I look for stainless steel if I can find them, but it's hard to find an SS model in the smaller generator size that I like.

With that said, you're welcome to my brand new tips off of my 2019. I took them off the first week and raised all the exhaust tips tight to the body. PM me if you want them.

Don, Did you install a muffler on the oasis exhaust to help with the noise?

I've only had the coach out three times and really haven't listened enough to it yet to see if it's any louder. I did look at the plumbing and lifted the end of the exhaust, making it tighter to the coach. I also like to reverse the U bolts so the threaded ends don't hang down.

The way the Oasis exhaust is currently plumbed, is different than my previous coach. They dropped the Oasis exhaust pipe through the bottom of the bay floor, right next to a 3" wide frame rail. Consequently, shortening the exhaust pipe coming out the floor and installing a muffler may be tough. The frame rail is creating a fitment issue.
