Anyone know where to buy a new Stainless exhaust pipe extension? I turned mine out on our 2000 DSDP to avoid the dust cloud on our dirt road and apparently didn't clamp it back tight enough (although I was sure it WAS tight). When we arrived at our Memorial Day site an hour from home it was missing. Bet I made somebody mad on I-75.

Coach is a Spartan chassis with the 330 Cummins. I'm sure I can get one from the dealer, but thought someone might know of a source. Thanks!

Hi
Most truck stop will have the exhaust pipe extension(chrome to) in the length you need. Or,you can order on line, just do search for truck parts. Camping world carries the extension also. Hope this help

Lost mine also while driving down the road must not have been installed correctly by factory. Found you can get have Auto Parts stores order them for you. Critical dimensions you will need when ordering are the extension flair inside diameter (or outside diameter of exhaust pipe), and the distance from the flair end to the start of the curve. Don't forget to order the clamp also.

Be sure to spec a Stainless Steel model (for hub caps too) like your OP indicated or you'll be looking at rusty chrome plate in no time. Cost about double non-stainless. Use a magnet to tell them apart if in doubt.

Spartin

(517)543-6400 ext 3212 Dayne Miller

I bought a muffler and tailpipe from a local RV dealer a couple weeks ago. I called Spartin for some filters and found that your price from Spartin is the same as the local RV dealer gets it for.

I hope this helps.

I also turned my exhaust to eliminate the dust cloud. Go here to see a picture. Unfortunately, the original extension was destroyed, while getting it off. I got a new extension direct from Spartan.

Welcome Already Gone to the Newmar forum and irv2.
Did you ever find the two wires you were looking for. They could be blue instead of red and can be use for electric brakes or what ever you need them for.
Thanks for the post you made for subject at hand.
Enjoy the forums and do post often.

Thank you all so much! This forum is so great. I just ordered from RVchassisparts. Dealer quoted 3x their price. -yikes- I can see that I will use that site quite a bit once I get familiar with what I need!

Hi
Yes I found the two wires, after two or three weeks, one trip to the doctor, three phone call, my wife said to step back and tank a fresh look. I remove the cluster(gauge and all)and the wire were right on top. And yes the wire were red along with the rest of them.
