exhaust tips

I need to replace my exhaust tip it is 4"round x 16" long turn down clamp on. Has anyone replaced theirs and where did you buy it.

I have not had to replace mine yet but I have used. http://rvchassisparts.com. They have be very helpful when I have emailed them questions and I feel their prices were competitive. I have not priced exhaust tips.

A few years ago, while in Albuquerque, NM, I had a local exhaust shop order an exhaust tip for me. They suggested it be welded on, so that's what they did. Total cost the new 4" tip and welding was about $150. Oh, it's still in place and working properly.

Anybody ever removed theirs? What's the use other than to deflect the exhaust downward. I don't really care for it.

The front of my towed stays cleaner now that the diesel exhaust is directed downward. Before adding the exhaust tip, the exhaust flow was directed at the front bumper of my towed. After a few hundred miles, the white hood and left front fender, headlight and grill all had a thin coating of diesel residue.
