External wall mounted A/C sensor
The sensor mounted next to the driver seat on the wall is driving me nuts.
I did the foam spacer mod, but did not help much. Some days it reads 99F indoor temp.
Is there anything special about extending the wire and relocating the sensor?
I have the tools and know how to do it, but don’t want to step on some expensive doo-do
Thanks

I have the same issue with my rear sensor. I have been told on this board that the wires (2) can be extended using a crimp or solder method. Also make sure to NOT cross splice (wire #1 spaces back to wire #1). As a temporary fix, you can take a little fan and blow room temp air at the sensor.
I have not attempted the sensor extension yet. Since that AC Unit failed, I have to rely on the front unit.

It's just a thermistor, so you can extend as much as you want. Personally I cut mine off and let it revert to the thermostat sensor which was in less exposed position.

Did you try to pull out any extra wire that might be in the wall? Mine is about 7' behind the drivers seat but on the bottom of the cabinet.

Relocating the front thermistor has been on my to do list for a while. In the interim, I have been doing the following. It isn’t an elegant solution, but it works.

Don't know what the "foam spacer mod" is. I had a similar problem with my thermostat being on the outside wall. Solved the problem by removing the thermostat and spraying low expansion spay foam in the cavity behind it.

X3 for me as well. I sat the fan on the top of my drivers seat pointed at the sensor. Works like a charm.
