Extra Leg Room in the Captains Seat...

Somewhere within this forum, someone mentioned a modification that allowed their driver’s seat to adjust further back for more leg room, and this inspired me. During a recent trip to the factory for warrantee service, I discussed this need with a service advisor, and the service person came up with this great idea. The panel which is trimed out very nicely is normally held in place by magnets when parked/slide out. For road travel, the trim panel is removed, and an additional 4 inches of legroom is gained. NICE JOB NEWMAR!!!

I plan to notch the trim on my slide out in the spring where driver seat hits it giving me another couple inches. ALso

You would think with a 43' MH they would give us tall guys some leg room. At 6'5" I have more leg room in my Jeep Wrangler the my DSDP add onto that a couple back surgery's and I am adjusting the seat every 15 minutes trying to stay comfortable. Someday if I don't come up with something, it is going to be the end of my RVing.

That is the one! Leave it to an Amish craftsman to find an elegant solution that is simple and looks like it was made that way...
