Factory delivery on Bay Star?
Does Newmar offer factory delivery on gas coaches, or just the higher end models? Looking at the Bay Star option sheet, I don't see an option to choose factory delivery.

There is a price that seems to vary.......don't see why not if you are wanting to do one and pay the extra money. A factory delivery is just that, not model dependant I don't think. Call them......and ask. Let us know.

OK, yeah I called them and they can do it for Bay Star as well. The reason I was wondering is that others have talked about seeing it as an available option on the options list for their their coach, but its not for this one. So I thought that might be because it's not offered on these models. But no, it can be done on bay star too.

Thanks for the update! Are you going to do the factory delivery? The one's that has done it, would never stray from doing it next time......from what I have read.

Definitely will do factory delivery if we get a Newmar. As you said, the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. Seems crazy not to do it, if you're ordering a new coach anyway. We're test driving a Bay Star later this week, so we'll see how that goes.

Vacay, curious here, did you make the leap and purchase a MH?

Not yet! Hope to have something by summer. Right now it's all about research and test drives. This weekend, Newmar and Fleetwood are up.

I asked. They would not share pricing with me. Said to ask a dealer. So if we go this route, my plan would be to shop around an option sheet amongst local dealers and national dealers who have a good reputation for dealing on price, and just add it to that sheet.

Thanks. FWIW, I find that answer very strange because the factory delivery charge is supposed to be a non-discountable fee, all of which goes to Newmar for providing a service they normally pay the dealer to accomplish. "ask a dealer" implies they don't want to quote the MSRP for that option because the different dealers may want to sell it at different prices. AFAIK, Newmar has a MSRP for every other factory option, so I find this very strange indeed. Anybody???

Ed, you might be reading a bit into this. After all, the people on the phone are just doing as instructed. If they are not allowed to discuss pricing with us retail consumers, they do just that, they send us to a dealer. When dealers start quoting different prices, then it may be time to get skeptical.

You are probably right, but it seems strange to me that Newmar publishes the MSRP for every other "standard" option they offer, so why not on their factory deliver fee.

On the 2015 Dutch Star the factory delivery was listed at $2800. For non standard options, even if they may be standard on an other line, Newmar does not give price to the retail customer, only to the dealer. Many cases the dealers will price the custom options at cost.
