Fan in Cabinet

2015 London Aire. I have a fan in the cabinet where the Winegard is located (see pic - fan in upper right back corner behind Winegard). Question: what is this fan for, does it always have to run, and if not how do I turn it off?Click image for larger version

It's there to keep your AV equipment cooled down- where are your satellite receivers, VR, VCD player & splitters?? They are all usually in this OH cabinet as well?

You can buy a thermostat controlled plug or you can simply unplug it. Excessive heat is hard on your electronic equipment & will shorten it's life span.

Happy Trails

Looks like some one installed a small computer fan to blow the heat out of that area. Never seen it but many have talked about installing one. Follow the wires and look for a switch or a connection you can take apart.

If you want to keep it but not run all the time put it on a 12v thermostat. I just bought one to control 2 computer fans in the battery bay. $10.70 on Amazon

We have a Baystar. My husband was thinking about trying to add a fan too because it gets very hot. For now I have a small portable fan that we use when we are camping.

Thanks everyone. It is in the OH with the AV equipment we rarely use. Funny I don't remember hearing it when we 1st got the unit but now at night it can be an annoying hum. Will try thermostat switch
