Fan-Tastic Vent Covers

Does anyone have recommendations for or against installing the Fan-Tastic Vent Ultra Breeze Vent Covers on their rig? TIA for any thoughts.

I would look at the MaxxAir vent covers as they don't require you to disrupt the caulking around the roof vent to find existing screws or drill new holes to hold the cover on. The MaxxAir uses a set of metal brackets that you install to the metal edge of the roof vent above the roof line.

I installed the MaxxAir covers over both vents of our previous 195RB and they worked really well. I liked being able to leave the vents open when traveling as well as when it was raining. I would recommend using a little blue loctite on the threads when mounting to help prevent them loosening after you've been bouncing down the road for a while.

If you look closely at the picture below you can see the metal bracket attached to the side of the roof vent above the roof line - easy to install and no fear of causing a leak by poking around the caulking and having to reseal it:

MaxxAir covers work well for standard vents (put 2 on previous coach) but won’t work for MaxxFan or Fantastic Fan vents. For those you’ll need the UltraBreeze covers. I’ve got one to install on the new coach but haven’t got to it yet.

Regards,

Randy

I have the Ultra Breeze cover on mine. Installation was easy and it works great. It is nice to be able to run the fan in rainy conditions.

Fantastic Fan covers - no matter the brand and great.

Lets you use the vents in the rain, while you travel, etc.

It was a good add for us.
