I did the same install. I could not figure out the installation wiring so I called and Fantastic sent me picture diagrams.

I changed the bath fan with the Fantastic Fan 7350 upgrade kit. It was a relatively easy install and all but the rain sensor attachment was from the inside.

Two Notes:

1. Be sure to remove the jumper from the new fan kit circuit board.

2. On the old fan, cut the two tiny orange wires—they are not needed.

Now we have a fan operated with a remote control, 13-speeds, thermostat, rain sensor and reversing.

Works great.

Added Maxx Fan Fan to the list for future reference when we pull the trigger and buy our DS. Video did great job of explaining all operational options. Thanks for link.

I have added this upgrade to fan as well. The problem I have is how to get it to operate from the wall switch as well as the remote control. Two very small wires that went to the old circuit board are now not connected to anything. For those who have done this upgrade could you tell me where they are connected on the new circuit board to get it to work from the switch. Maybe a picture if you have it.

As an added plus, the fan upgrade has a ON/OFF on the rain sensor. Our Newmar installed fan would not operate on humid days so I had to cut the wires to the rain sensor. The fan upgrade kit will allow me to turn off the rain sensor on humid days.

The question is whether the upgrade kit will work with Newmar's light switch wiring. Evidently Arizona Lizards has the new light wiring in his 2016 and it worked for him.

We found cleaning the rain sensor occasionally makes it work better in damp weather. Crud can hold humidity and make it a lot more touchy.
