Fiberglass roof not touching underlayment - is this normal for a brand new Bay Star?

The first time I climbed onto the roof, I noticed about a 1/2 inch gap between the fiberglass roof and whatever is below it. My Winnebago also had a fiberglass roof, but there was no space between the fiberglass and the underlayment.

My dealer says this is normal. Is that right?

I’m new to Newmar and appreciate insight of this group.
