First NKK rally day in Gillette
After a lot of on and off rain the last week,today, Monday the first day for the Newmar Kountry Klub rally is sunny and clear. Weather report for the rest of the week looks really good. Have been here many times with both NKK and FMCA rallies and always some bad weather buts looks like things will be nice now.
If coming to the irv2 gathering this year we only have seating for 80 and since we had over 150 Newmar irv2 forum quest in Sedilia heads up on come before 1PM on Tuesday the 26th to the Wyoming Room.

Place cleared out pretty well this morning. There are about 50-60 coaches still on site. We are waiting for our spot to become open over by Yellowstone. $24 a day, full hookups, not bad!

Anyone snap some pictures of the new Ventana Lagoon exterior? I think it might be the one in the background of this picture that Deaton posted.

deaton that is a good rate at the campground. Thinking about taking grandkids to Yellowstone this summer. What campground is it?

First NKK rally day in Gillette
Sorry, but I see my previous post is very confusing.
The $24 rate is what the Camplex facility here in Gillette is charging per night for those of us who are hanging on following the conclusion of the NKK Rally.
While they have over a thousand full hook-up sites here, they don’t operate it as a public campground, so you can’t just cruise in to Gillette and check in here.
But they apparently have this policy for extended stay if you are already here attending one of their functions.
Since the cheapest FHU private sites I have found around here start at $35, seemed like a good idea to stay a few days.
There is an SOB rally (Monaco) coming in here later this week so we all have to clear out by July 5th. I’m thinking about putting on my old Monaco jacket (it’s 66 degrees here) and sliding over to the vendor parking area to extend my stay before heading to Yellowstone. That probably won’t work.
We are coming back here for the FMCA Rally in the 18th.
The site we snagged near Yellowstone is at the Yellowstone RV Park and Inn which is about 20 miles west of Cody and 30 miles east of the east gate. But the rate is almost $70 a night!
Again, sorry for the confusion.
Getting a site close to Yellowstone this time of year is tough. Folks book a year in advance. We use the “nibble” approach. Book one day, which you can probably get, and then call back every day to try and extend your reservation by adding more days.

They only brought one coach of each brand, except Dutch Star where they had two.
Interestingly enough, they didn’t bring a 4369 DS, although there was a 2018 4369 parked outside. So I think that picture I posted of the Ventana was the only one there. They did have a Ventana LE too.

Wow no 4369? Most popular coach. I have said maybe they area changing it and converting it to a Dutch Aire.... 
They have not posted a 2019 DS on the web site as of Friday.
