I stayed there last year for almost two months during June and July while receiving medical treatment in Jacksonville.I enjoyed the stay and had a lake front site on the north side of the lake just west of the cafe & sandy beach where you get a nice breeze across the water. Tom

What would you like to know? I live about 5 or 6 miles from it to the east. Neighborhood right around it is nice and gets bad about 5 miles south. I go to that neighborhood to visit a friend, and never had a problem.

Flamingo Lakes is against the bypass highway and on the other side, just across it, is a Wally world. Other shopping fairly close too, in nicer neighborhoods.

Been there several times and enjoyed it....stayed on the beach once on the highway side and it was a little noisy, especially at night....enjoy the buscuits and gravy in the cafe on the water!

Flamingo Lakes RV Resort is just 10 short miles from down town Jacksonville, FL and is a work in progress. The new premium waterfront sites have 85 foot slabs with dual hook-ups so a trailer can back in and motor homes can drive in, allowing all to have great views of the lake. They also have their own lakefront patios. The lake is well stocked but the fish are mostly small but a lot of fun for the kids. There is a restaurant on the lake and their specialty is a great breakfast menu at very reasonable prices. The Resort is expensive and worth it. The airport is about 4 miles away but the Resort is not in any flight paths. A new super mall is another 4 miles away and there are 2 super Walmarts also within 4 miles.

If you're going to be in the area for a few days we highly recommend you spend it here in a well managed RV Resort catering to your comfort and entertainment.

We spent the month of March there last year, waiting for spring. Please go to Intuition Aleworks, if you are so inclined! If I lived in Jacksonville, that place would become a hangout for me. I miss their Amber Longleaf...
