Flip up or fold out bracket for Master bedroom TV?
There is so much usable yet wasted space behind the tv in the master bedroom. Has anyone rigged up a bracket that allows to the tv to flip up or so the side so that you can access all the storage behind it?
It’s mounted to brackets and then mounted to the cabinet leaving no way to access all the room behind it.
Im hoping someone else has done it before otherwise I’ll have to figure something out!

I know UFO Pilot did this on his living room TV on his Winnebago coach.

There is space but it is on an angle, not as much as it seems with wires. I believe Winnebago is big on this, maybe check out their brackets.
You could probably take the tv off install a piece of 1/2 inch finished plywood covering the opening, with a piano hinge across the top. Then mount the existing bracket to the front of the plywood. And fit a gas strut to hold it up when open. Probably will also need some kind of latch to hold it closed while driving. And I light to see. Just a thought. Stuart

It might help to know what coach you have??
I've seen several people make this mod. The one I like is to attach the TV to a sheet of plywood and then install a piano hinge on the right or left side and a lock on the other. This lets you swing the TV out and access what's behind it.

My bad! It’s a 2018 Dutch Star 4326. The idea of mounting it on a piece of wood or another substrate might work. If I can get away with finding a premade tv mount, id prefer to go that route.
Maybe something like this??

That might work, I think the challenge would be mounting it to the ceiling

Yep, did it on our '02 DSDP. Gained quite a bit of room.

What kind of bracket or mounting system did you come up with?
