Floor heating

I have a 2015 Dutch Star 4369 and one of the floor heaters comes on it cycles itself through low to high in a matter of seconds on its own and then shuts off. Any ideas what is happening?

Ours have done that previously as well. One of ours would also just turn off randomly. According to Newmar, the vendor is aware of the issue but does not have a fix. This is what I was told during a factory visit in April.

Newmar reset all of mine and it seemed to correct the problem, although we have not really used them much since then. Guess we will find out soon as the weather cools.

The switches are 12V powered. I found that toggling the battery disconnect (essentially resetting them) fixed the issue for days at a time. Could give that a try.

There is a fix for this. But you have to get a reprogrammer from the factory. We waited two weeks for the reprogrammer, which never arrived, while we were getting service for our slide. You can see the TSB on Comnet2 at the Newmar site. Our heated floors randomly turn off and scroll thru on low, med, high, off on a daily basis. Nice for a 6k option.

I called Newmar yesterday. They are sending me the reprogrammer. They encouraged me to go to a dealer to have the fix done for free. The Houston dealer is not a favorite, so I just bought the reprogrammer. It's $50 delivered. Since we use the floor heaters a lot, it was worth it. They have a bunch in stock.

Mine are not bad really. I've had the issue 3-4 times in the last year, but it's irritating
