Foam Air return filters

Newmar price for the round foam return filters just jumped from $1.00 to $4.19!Yikes What are others doing? If I can get similar foam will cut my own.

Just at Newmar parts store and the filters were 1.04 each. There is no charge for shipping so for about 10$ you would have extra air filters.

I was told that when someone buys parts at the service center they save 15-20% versus when someone buys over the phone. So that would put the price around $1.20 each over the phone - not sure where the $4.19 works into that. Where did you see the $4.19?

You can get foam material at most Home Depot or Lowe’s and cut to fit.

According to Com_Net2 the $1 ones are discontinued and the $4.19 ones are a suggested replacement, although they are a little larger.

We were there 2 weeks ago and the filters I bought were $2.50 with the walk in discount. Seems about right, I pay at least double what everyone else does. Called in April about the great entrance mat, was told $225. Called in June when our coach was in service and was told $450 with the discount because they changed suppliers. After questioning them when I picked up our coach, they gave me a 25% discount.

The price for the round foam air filter was on the tag by filters. They had at least 50 in the box. Cutting both the circle out and then the center hole would make us pay the Newmar price. There were items that were priced real good like wiper blades (32) for 14$, 303 quart 19$, outside cabinet struts 7$ and numerous other items. Spent a couple hundred dollars on items we saw that were priced right. Some other items were priced way out there like Progressive 50AMP EMS at 1250$.

Yea...I ordered a roll off amazon...was cheaper than buying new ones, filtered the air better and I had some left over...

If I remember correctly I bought almost the exact same filter material at either Lowe's or HD for under $10 and cut my own square filters (3 a/c units). The roll of material wasn't enough to cut all of them so the day I change them out and clean them I have to wait a couple hours for a few of them to dry.
