I read all of the great things newmar has done in the past. I want you to know that Newmar service has changed in the past yrs. & is not so cutomer friendly. I have a 2003 kountry star
gas mod. it is still under warrenty. It has gell coated side walls that have some type of a
honey comb pattern in the gell coat that can not be removed any exept to be sanded & then machined buffed. This condition is over 90% of the side walls. Newmar cliams that this is oxadation & not covered by warrenty. I am still trying to fight this

grglunger,WELCOME to iRV2!!
I am sorry you are experiencing difficulty with your '03 coach and thus have formed a negative opinion about Newmar's service.
On the other hand, even with the issues I've had with a brand new coach, my experience has been the other end of the spectrum from yours, except for the recent miscommunication with the ordered part from a vendor....
When I had the fan issue,Newmar stayed in touch with me and let me know everything that was going on...In my most recent refrigerator cooling unit issue, they've been equally responsive.
I wish you luck in getting your coach back in shape...

I am new to iRV2, having just joined, and would like to join the Newmar forum but don't see just how to do that.
We purchased out first Newmar last April from Giant RV in S. California and left the same day for Michigan to spend the summer here. (Some work, grandkids and all that, you know) We love the Dutch Star but have some questions as it is difficult to comunicate on each little thing with our dealer long distance.
Perhaps someone can direct me as to how to join this forum. Thanks

dolsen58, WELCOME Dennis and Cathy to iRV2!!!
We are glad you've joined iRV2 and look forward to hearing more of your travels and experiences with your rig.
As you've discovered, these forums are not only a great source of information, but we try and have some fun as well!!
On the main forum page there are topics at the bottom of the page that have to do with regional get togethers....You might watch those "pond piggies" and their posts in the North Central region....A bunch of them from Ohio and PA have gone off this week on a journey to NY, but they usually do something off and on all summer in the north central region....
Enjoy yourself and jump in anytime...
The "member title" under your screen name has been changed as it's an "admin" function...you're all set!!

Hi:
First post. New Newmar Owner. I really think the Newmar coachwork seems Top Drawer. I am not so sure, however, of the support and overall quality of the WH-22 Chassis. Only time will tell. I have owned it since July 12, 2006 and have been able to use it only for 8 days (In shop rest of the time 3 times). Bought it used from original dealer 9200 miles looks and smell like new.

park ridge dave,
WELCOME to the Newmar Owner's Forum here on iRV2!!
We are certainly glad you have decided to make your first post and I think you will find all kinds of good information here in regard to Newmar...
You may have found our "Workhorse Chassis area already, but if not it is adjacent to the Owner's forums on the front forum page...
Let us here more of your experiences here in Newmar and I would also suggest posting your chassis issues in the Workhorse forum, they are some very knowledgeable folks over there as well.
