Welcome to the forum.
You are connected to the city water connection and not the tank flush entrance and you have city water valve turned for normal use without using the pump.
Reread one of your posts so your hooked up correctly it seems.
You have turned city water valve to fill fresh water tank and that should be only one filling yet you say black is filling along with the gray and not the fresh water tank.
Like some one said your pipes look switched or your city water valve is defective its only to fill fresh water tank.

Using BING search this is how water systems look like in motor homes.

I agree with above, and it may actually be both issues.

The OP's posts indicate the waste tanks were being filled when only on the pump and also when filling from city water. If the fill valve was defective and also incorrectly hooked up to the tank flush line instead of the tank fill line, that could account for what happened.

When using the pump, a defective valve lets water pass through into the incorrectly plumbed line to the tank flush instead of the fresh tank as a correctly plumbed system would if the valve was defective. Then, when turned to "Tank Fill", the valve shunts all water into the tank flush, filling the tank as described by the OP. If this is correct, that may mean the line to the fresh water fill is probably now connected to the inlet for the tank flush. The OP may wish to test this by connecting a hose to the tank flush inlet and see if the fresh tank fills.

The above theory does not account for both black and grey tanks filling, but that may be unique to Newmar.

Okay, still have a problem, but did a bit of experimenting. We filled the fresh water tank 1/2 full through the actual tank, not from the wet bay where we were always told to fill it. It did fill with water. We turned on the pump which kept running (making noise), and water still would not come out of the faucets. However, the good news is none the fresh water came out of the fresh water tank into the gray/black water tanks, as before. So we have made an appointment at the end of June in Boise for repairs. In the meantime, we will limit our "dry camping" to one night in between full-hook-ups, and carry a lot of jugs of water...THank you everyone. Once the dealer tells me what happened, I will let you know.

Hi - Did you run the pump for a long enough time to evacuate the air from the lines? If there is air in the lines that go to the various faucets the pump will continue to run as air compresses much more easily than water. Try turning on pump and open each faucet, at some point you may hear the tone of the pump change and water start to flow. If it doesn't flow then your somewhat new pump has a check valve problem and likely needs to be replaced.

RICCI, Yes we ran the pump for at least 10 minutes with the faucets open...nothing! I have decided at this point I am through sweating over this, and going to go on with our adventures. Of course, not much boon docking going to be happening for 6 weeks or so. Oh well! We chose this lifestyle, and will just keep on trucking down the road!

Your latest post on running the pump is more in line with a defective valve (city water/tank fill) that allows the water to circulate through the system and back into the fresh tank and pressure never builds up. Still, that doesn't account for your original problem where the holding tanks filled.

Good idea to take a break and let the service dept. deal with this. Just be sure to keep us up to date as this is one mysterious situation.

So, here's your homework from the rest of us--get the answers to the following questions:
1. Why no water from faucets with pump or city water?
2. How did fresh water get directly into the black tank?
3. How did fresh water get directly into the grey tank?
4. Why did a hose connected to Tank Fill wind up filling the black tank?
5. Why did the kitchen sink back up and overflow when filling from the City Water inlet?

Enjoy your break, but don't forget your homework is due when you return

"RetiredFroggie".....Here is something simple you can try and may give you back your water pump. From HD or Lowes, grab a 3/4" threaded male cap. Screw it into the port in your wet bay where yo normally attach the shore water. If that check valve is bad....this will seal up the water system and get your pump back on line.

So we had a great experience at Bish's RV in Boise, actually Meridian. All of our issues were repaired. Now about the water and sewer...VERY ANTICLIMACTIC!!! NOTHING was found as an issue with the gray/black tanks...and the filling of the tanks has not occurred since my original post. However, the the fresh water tank would not drain, nor could we get water using the water pump because the fresh water tank was clogged. The cleared the drain and cleaned...So now all is good. We have water to boondock now! I am a happy camper again! Even with 25 years of experience with motorhomes, we are always experiencing new things. Thank you ALL for your suggestions and expertise!

Lots of question left unanswered here! BUT, I can't help but think the problems were all related to overfilling thru the tank rinse connection, messed up the check valves in the vent pipes and possible the sinks, toilets and causing the fresh water tank clog. There is a specific warning not to do that! Now we all do close the valve and fill the black water tank to rinse it, right? But you don't open the gray value when rinsing do you? Isn't there a connection between the black and grey tank thru the vent system? Just a thought.
