I had to change a hose clamp on a leaky hose at the pump and immediately thereafter became aware that the pump may have lost prime. I hear and feel the pump running with the switch on but get no pressure in sink or shower. What is best way to test for loss of prime? 1998 Dutchstar Model 3883.

Open a faucet and wait, my pump on my TT would screw around priming. But if I opened a faucet and gave it a minute or two it would finally pick some up and then prime.

On our previous 2002 DSDO, I would run water thru all faucets, stool and shower when on city water. Then, disconnect city water and turn on pump. I would then open all faucets again to purge any air that remained. Seemed to work.

While pump is running open the low point cold water drain valve. This gives the air in the pump line a place to escape, while pulling in water from the tank.
