Oh boy, another fuel mileage question.
There are so many variables that go into what mileage you get.
My '02 DSDP 4090 with 350 ISC with Banks kit got around 8 although I never really bothered to check. It is what it is.
My present rig weighs far more, the engine is much larger and lots more power but over 49,500 miles it shows 7.6 mpg.

I have a 2004 DS with same engine and get 8 to 8.5 while towing.

If you got to ask about mileage, You might want to reconsider this RVing's stuff, there are a lot cheaper ways to see the county.

But the answer is 6mpg @ $3 per gal.

I don't think there is any cheaper way to see the country than RVing, but that's not to say it ain't cheap!! By the time you figure in airplane rides, hotels, restaurants, rental cars, fuel, etc. The hassle of flying; UGH!!

I've found that speed. wind direction and whether stop and go or interstate make all the difference in MPG.

I agree Dutch Star dave. I am just trying to get a base line to see if I am above or below average. I am not doing as well as others.

Well, use 8 as your average. That means 7.5 to 8.5. I've used that number for all my predictions for years and it's pretty close.

Our fuel economy had averaged from 7.5 to 8 for years and then suddenly dropped into the 6’s. The hydraulic fan controller went bad causing the fan to default to fail mode causing the fan to run at high speed all the time using more horsepower which negatively affected fuel economy. Changed the controller and actually got an improvement over where it had been originally.

What is the best oil? Who has the best price for insurance? Do I need to winterize? Which tires should I buy? Is it better to have a gas or DP motor coach? Is a 45' Acme Avenger better than a 32' Mini Wonder Mouse? What coach can I buy that will make my wife happy? 😵
