We have changed locals at least 15 times in the last 2 years. Our last 7 week trip we changed them 7 times. Direct customer service stinks, but normally on chat can have the service address (locals and Sunday ticket blackout) changed is as little as 5 minutes, max was 1/2 hour, normal about 10 minutes. Not sure why you say they won't update to locals.
I am not a big lover of Dish or Direct but I wanted to be able to watch my Football team in Florida or Az. If I could I would drag a 3000 mile cable to get xfinity everywhere, but sadly have to deal with lesser experiences with satellite.
Anyway just so everyone knows, Direct changes location for locals.
