Switch to Dish........we switched from Direct because they won't do vaca mode or update to locals based in our location. Just easier in the long run.

All of ours were (this is true or ours), even the replacement they sent accidentally.
But like I said we got ours boxes through Winegard.

We have changed locals at least 15 times in the last 2 years. Our last 7 week trip we changed them 7 times. Direct customer service stinks, but normally on chat can have the service address (locals and Sunday ticket blackout) changed is as little as 5 minutes, max was 1/2 hour, normal about 10 minutes. Not sure why you say they won't update to locals.

I am not a big lover of Dish or Direct but I wanted to be able to watch my Football team in Florida or Az. If I could I would drag a 3000 mile cable to get xfinity everywhere, but sadly have to deal with lesser experiences with satellite.

Anyway just so everyone knows, Direct changes location for locals.
