Attached are pics of my recent FWS repair and it made a significant difference. The new "superstructure" brackets as they were called at Newmar, involve two different replacement / re-designed pieces.
The first mounts onto the FWS and it provides extra strength to the wall so the part which attaches to it cannot pull-out of the FWS. The second part attaches to the FWS chain and has a different design that allows the top of the FWS to come in a little more so the floor is more level. Again, significantly better. I.e., chairs do not wobble, nor do the recliners when their footing is on both sides of the "line" between the FWS floor and the main floor.
First pick shows original (chain) mount was directly affixed to only the FWS side wall. Other pics showing the new bracket show it supports the entire height of the wall, plus has re-enforcement platform to which the mechanism attaches to the FWS. I suspect my description may be a little confusing. Hope the pics are worth a thousand words! ha
