Full Wall Slide "Reveal" Issue/Question

OK...I understand that with a FWS you put it out before you dump bags and level. Or, at least I understand that is in a perfect world.

I've had 4 weeks of experience with about a dozen set ups. In about half of them the leading edge of the FWS is nearly in contact with the frame when I am parked. The front, bottom corner is tucked into the corner in those cases.

In those cases I've leveled first and that has corrected the reveal. I have then deployed the FWS.

So, is this something normally seen by other folks with FWSs?

BTW...the passenger slides seem to normally have well established, even "reveals".

Any thoughts? Could this be an indication of a slide that could use some alignment treatment?

This is my normal operation. I always check the reveal, and I always level first.

I have learned to watch the position of the lock on the FWS right behind the drivers seat. If the lock is positioned in the center, with a bit of the screw showing, then I am 90% certain it is good. I still exit the coach and check all the reveals before running the slide. It is a bit of a pain, but it prevents the disaster I dealt with in 2013 prior to understanding how much the FWS can move.

This all changed with the Hydraulics, and I will be relearning that soon, but I am very confident as long as the reveal is good, you will have no problems.

Now that your a FWS owner this link may give you a few pointers but after said and done it has all to do with the reveal.
