Full wall slide topper sagging in rear

Any simple fix for a sagging topper on full wall slide? When it rains, big collection of H2O! Thanks in advance.

I hope someone will give some ideas for this as my FWS topper not only will collect water but when there are strong winds it flaps in the wind.
The roller seems to not have any tension on it when awning is out.

It would help others help you if you put your coach model and year in your signature line.

I think it is there but maybe not. I have a 2020 Baystar 3401.

We collect water also, but this is dependent upon how level we are….. we sometimes park intentionally letting the FWS slide be a little lower, and tilt a little to the front or back level wise, this decreases the water collection.

Our full wall slide will collect water after a heavy rainfall. It usually drains off when going to ride height. I’m always outside when slides come in and out and watch the slide toppers to ensure they don’t get caught up when retracting.

Recently I had the DW stop the HWH slide on the way in to allow water to drain off the topper as the topper was about to get drawn into the coach. I hated to stop the HWH while in motion but didn’t want to risk damaging the topper or slide. After the water drained off, it came in without issue.

As mentioned above, lowering the front or rear jacks after heavy rain before returning to ride height is a good idea.

I know you can make adjustments on the tightness of the awning fabric. I’m not sure what type of awnings you have. On my Carefree topper awnings on my last coach it involved turning the springs inside the awning tube tighter.
If someone doesn’t have the answer try downloading the manual for your awning or calling the manufacturer. The topper covers will hold a little water especially after heavy rains. If they are holding enough to sag then I get on a ladder and use my squeegee to pull the water off.

Some use a small inflatable beach ball or similar device positioned under the slide topper to create a pitch to shed water. It can be positioned with an awning pole. I will try this when we camp in Florida this winter. Having recently replaced all my slide toppers I would rather not have them all stretched out from standing water.
