Our full wall slide will collect water after a heavy rainfall. It usually drains off when going to ride height. I’m always outside when slides come in and out and watch the slide toppers to ensure they don’t get caught up when retracting.
Recently I had the DW stop the HWH slide on the way in to allow water to drain off the topper as the topper was about to get drawn into the coach. I hated to stop the HWH while in motion but didn’t want to risk damaging the topper or slide. After the water drained off, it came in without issue.
As mentioned above, lowering the front or rear jacks after heavy rain before returning to ride height is a good idea.
